FlyQuest Signs Rising Turkish Talent Gakgos to League Team Ahead of Split 3

FlyQuest is excited to welcome İbrahim "Gakgos" Samet Bulut to its League of Legends roster under Riot’s LTA program, pending final approval. At just 17 years old, the Turkish top lane prodigy has already made waves in France’s LFL Division 2 and now takes his first step onto the LTA stage with FlyQuest.

“I’m incredibly excited to join FlyQuest and take this next step in my career. It’s every player’s dream to compete against the best. But having the right team by your side is crucial to success. With FlyQuest and their vision, I’m confident I’ve got the right team on my side. Now it’s up to me,  I’m locked in, and I will seize this opportunity like never before.” — İbrahim "Gakgos" Samet Bulut

Gakgos will not be replacing current starting toplaner Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau. Instead, the duo will share the position as part of a six-man roster, a rare configuration in professional League of Legends, but one that FlyQuest believes offers the flexibility and depth needed to compete at the highest level. Gakgos is expected to begin splitting practice and stage games alongside Bwipo beginning in Split 3.

“We’re in a unique position having Bwipo on the team - It’s well documented that his preference for 2025 was a six man roster with srtty as our toplaner, which with the information we had at the time (standard draft format for MSI/Worlds, srtty wanting a starting birth, etc) didn’t ultimately fit. Bringing in Gakgos, a 17-year-old young man with unbelievable raw talent, and having brought in Bwipo to support him alongside our full coaching staff, is an extremely rare luxury we’re able to take advantage of. — Chris “PapaSmithy” Smith

“I think it’s important to recognize both the strengths you bring to a team and the areas where you still need to grow. Bringing in a substitute gives us both the opportunity to sharpen our current skillsets while also improving in the areas where we’re less experienced.” — Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau

FlyQuest continues to demonstrate the strength of its world-class scouting and development program, the same system that identified Massu, who went from true rookie to reaching the top 8 at the League of Legends World Championship over the course of 2024. Gakgos, born in 2008, represents a new generation of elite players, and we’re proud to support his growth as he begins his journey with FlyQuest.
