Although our LCS season came to a disappointing end, our Academy team is still going strong! They finished 1st place in the regular season, and will be heading into playoffs starting this week. Developing North American talent has always been very important to us, and we hope to prove that FlyQuest is the best in doing so.

With that, we are excited to share with you our final quest of the year - SunsetQuest.

SunsetQuest will build on what we accomplished with SunnyQuest, but DOUBLED! That means $2 per kill, $20 per Ocean Drake, and $200 per #FLYWIN. So far, we have accumulated a total contribution of $7,268 for the American Solar Energy Society (ASES).

But that's not all - if we win Academy Playoffs, we're adding in another $2,500. And if we win Proving Grounds, we're contributing an additional $2,500. That means if all goes well, this could be our most successful Quest to date!

Since we launched our Go Green initiative in January 2020, we’ve broken new ground in esports by integrating environmental cause-related initiatives into our League of Legends competitions, applying real action to help our planet in its time of need. We’ve planted 10,000 trees with One Tree Planted, protected coral reefs with the Coral Reef Alliance, and saved the bees with The Bee Conservancy.

We are now excited to announce our newest iteration for the upcoming Summer Split: SunnyQuest!

This season, we’re focusing our attention and contributions on climate change, an incredibly dangerous threat to our planet. SunnyQuest will support [the American Solar Energy Society](https://ases.org/), an organization that focuses on accelerating the shift to renewable energy to decrease carbon emissions across the US. Like previous quests, our contributions toward the ASES will be based on the in-game performances of our LCS and Academy teams 

SunnyQuest merch will be eco-friendly too —  the entire collection is made of at least 25% recycled materials! Hi everyone,

Last year, FlyQuest embarked upon a series of quests as part of our #GoGreen initiative. We planted trees with TreeQuest, preserved coral reefs with SeaQuest, and helped plenty of wild turtles along the way. Now, we’re jumping from the seas to save the bees with our latest initiative **\#BeeQuest**. 

Bees play an essential role in the planet’s ecosystems. They pollinate a vast array of crops, directly fuel one-third of the world’s food production, and promote biodiversity through environmental protection wherever they buzz. But their population is in sharp decline, with 1 in 4 North American bee species at risk of extinction. The bees need our help!

So for Spring Split 2021, we’re going to Showcase Greatness with **BeeQuest** and challenge ourselves and our fans and friends to make a difference. Like previous quests, our wins on Summoner’s Rift will translate directly into donation dollars - this time to **The Bee Conservancy**, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting bees and their habitats. We’re super excited to support their efforts around hive-building, education, and the pursuit of environmental and social justice. For more information, you can visit them at thebeeconservancy.org.

During BeeQuest, we will make a donation to The Bee Conservancy for each FlyQuest win in LCS or Academy and for every FlyQuest kill during a match. Additionally, we will donate when an Ocean Drake is secured by ANY LCS or Academy team. How can the bees thrive without the plants and bushes created by Ocean Drakes?  

You’ll be able to follow along here and via our social media as we chart our progress and pass along some tips and facts about the difference you’re helping us make in our natural world.

Hello everyone!

Today, we are very excited to share the second half of our Go Green initiative for 2020, **SeaQuest**!

Our Go Green Initiative was started as a means for all of us to Showcase the Greatness already within us together. As our CEO, Tricia Sugita, says, “We believe everyone has the ability to effect real change for our planet, and we want to facilitate ways for us to address important environmental issues together.”

Thanks to our players, some friends, and all of you, we were able to plant 10,000 trees during our Spring Split initiative, TreeQuest! For this Summer Split’s **SeaQuest**, we’re switching things up a bit. As the seasons change, so do we. From green to marine, from trees to the seas, and from floral to coral.

We will be helping to replenish the oceans’ dwindling coral reefs, by donating to the Coral Reef Alliance, one of the biggest coral reef foundations in the world. So much of our planet’s life depends on coral reefs, so we are making it our mission this split to help protect them. We will be donating for every FlyQuest LCS and Academy victory this Summer Split. We will also be donating each time a FlyQuest player gets a kill during a match, regardless of win/loss. Finally, we will be donating every time ANY team takes an Ocean Drake during an LCS or Academy match. Once again, the Ocean Drake affects the real world!

**SeaQuest** doesn’t just end there. The Coral Reef Alliance will deem those who have donated a total of $10,000 or more as “**Champions of the Reef**.” With this title, we will be able to actually go out and see some of these coral reefs, and show all of you the impact that we will be making together. The journey starts today so stay tuned!

Additionally, we will be focusing on another very important need: plastic reduction. Plastic waste in our oceans is a huge problem, and we want to help out not only through awareness, but to also go out there and actually Save the WildTurtles! We will be bringing some exciting campaigns around Saving the WildTurtles, including beach activations (if permitted), educational video content, and donation drives.

**We are introducing SUPER TREEQUEST for playoffs!**

**SUPER TREEQUEST will double the amount of trees we are planting during Playoff matches, and will include a commitment to plant an additional 10,000 trees should we win the 2020 LCS Spring Finals.**

**The trees planted for SUPER TREEQUEST will be based on a number of criteria during each of FlyQuest’s Playoff games. We will be planting 200 trees each time FlyQuest wins a game during the Playoffs, 2 trees each time a FlyQuest player gets a kill during a match, and 20 trees every time ANY team takes an Ocean Drake during an LCS Playoff match.**

So for every **\*FlyQuest LCS and Academy victory this Spring**, we will be planting 100 trees*! We call this “**TreeQuest**,” and you can expect to see a live “**TreeCounter**” on our website, soon. But TreeQuest doesn’t end there.* We will also be planting 1 tree each time a FlyQuest player gets a kill during a match*, regardless of win/loss. Finally,* we will also be planting 10 trees every time a team takes an Ocean Drake during an LCS or Academy match*. The Ocean Drake affects the real world!

You might have noticed we didn’t specify that last one having to be a FlyQuest match. That’s because we will be **planting 10 trees per Ocean Drake regardless of the teams playing**. We are all here to Showcase Greatness together, and we believe that this is a great way for us to show gratitude for the players working hard to make Summoner’s Rift a greener place.

At the end of each week of the Spring Split, we will be donating to the **OneTreePlanted Organization** (<https://onetreeplanted.org/>) according to the TreeCounter. However, we will be taking a more hands-on approach with planting trees on **Earth Day** (April 22, 2020), so stay tuned!

Effecting Change This Spring With "TreeQuest" Campaign

Today we are excited to share that the OG “Go Green” Initiative: **TreeQuest** is returning for Spring Split and will be better than ever as we join forces with Mastercard to launch the **TreeQuest x Priceless Planet Coalition**!

Initially unveiled for Spring Split 2020, TreeQuest was the first initiative we launched in our efforts to effect real change for our planet. Through TreeQuest donations, our efforts led to the planting over 12,000 trees, demonstrating the power of the esports community to showcase greatness.

This passion for making a positive impact on our planet is one that the Priceless Planet Coalition deeply understands, and why we’re thrilled to be bringing our efforts together. Created by Mastercard, the Priceless Planet Coalition aims to restore 100 million trees over five years, regrowing forests in geographies that represent the greatest global need and potential for climate impact – together with its restoration partners, Conservation International and the World Resources Institute.

Through the **TreeQuest x Priceless Planet Coalition** campaign, FlyQuest and Mastercard will make a donation to plant one tree ($2 each) for each in-game takedown by a FlyQuest player, 10 trees for each Ocean Drake taken by any LCS or Academy team, and 100 trees for every #FLYWIN during the 2022 LCS and Academy Spring Splits. All donations will go to Conservation International in support of the Priceless Planet Coalition’s mission to restore 100 million trees.
Thanks to our LCS and Academy teams in their first few weeks of play, we are already at a total number of **1,280** trees planted! Our hope is to beat our previous record and make an even bigger impact on our planet!

We couldn’t have made it to this point without your amazing response to TreeQuest the first time around, and we’re glad to have another chance to plant some more trees by partnering with Mastercard.

TreeQuest x Priceless Planet Coalition

TreeQuest Returns

Hi guys, 

Like many of you this past year, we’ve struggled with maintaining strong mental health. It’s hard to Showcase Greatness when your perspective is skewed by negativity and fear. So as our lives slowly regain a semblance of normalcy, we want to send out positive vibes and arm everyone with the tools they need to improve their mental wellness. We’ve gotten the ball rolling with CEO Tricia Sugita’s “[Just Happy](https://twitter.com/FlyQuest/status/1374104532033110024)” video series, but it’s time to do even more.

In that spirit, we’re excited to kickoff our first ever sidequest: **MeQuest!** Starting today, FlyQuest and **Voyboy** are putting together a weekly action plan that focuses on recuperation, rebuilding healthy habits and rededicating ourselves to the positive mental health we all need to thrive in our daily lives. Unlike our previous quests — which were based on our LCS and Academy performance — we’ve designed MeQuest so that everyone can participate! 

**TL;DR:** MeQuest is a set of tasks we can all do to help improve our mental health. We’ve organized these tasks into seven distinct categories — Comfort, Gratitude, Hobby, Mental, Organization, People and Physical. Every Friday, all MeQuest participants will commit to one task each within three of the seven categories for the following week. 

We’re so happy to have **Voyboy** lead our MeQuest efforts. Voyboy has been a tireless advocate for mental health awareness, and he was a major voice in bringing MeQuest to life. All FlyQuest players, coaches and staff will be completing their own MeQuests alongside VoyBoy, and we’ll regularly post updates all over social media using the hashtag #MeQuest. 

Throughout MeQuest, fellow community questers can enter for a drawing to win a cool secret prize! To become eligible, post your MeQuest plan on the weekly Friday tweet from FlyQuest using the hashtag #MeQuest. Each Friday post (maximum seven) counts as one entry — one raffle ticket, you could say — into a prize drawing that will take place one week after MeQuest Phase 1 concludes on Friday, May 14th. Oh, and don’t forget to follow [@FlyQuest](https://twitter.com/FlyQuest) and [@Voyboy](https://twitter.com/Voyboy) on Twitter! 

We know mental health looks different for everyone. For some it may be going on a walk, or it may be taking a few minutes to meditate and reflect each day. To help pick out synergistic tasks, we granted special names to certain combinations of categories:
